Q: Are you open yet?
A: We’re opening We’re open 7 days a week for exploration from 10 AM to 4 PM (closing at 5 PM), and our retail store is open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM at our Poland, Maine location.
Q: Is there anything we can do to support you?
A: Yes, there is many ways support us! Financially is always a bonus as we have many expenses while we are closed from animal welfare, paying employees, electricity, veterinary services, food, etc.. You can visit our Link Tree.

Q: What is a R.O.A.R Pop Up?
A: Mr. Drew and His Animals Too has several Pop Up event coming up and we have a reason to R.O.A.R. (Recognize Our Area Resource).
We want to not only introduce ourselves to the Poland Community but we want to introduce our 50K followers to all the amazing Family businesses and places in our new home! We are Where Natural Science meets Community and we would love for you to join us!
These outdoor, Family Friendly events are free to the Public to come see and learn about our amazing animals but our hope in the process, you can throw a donation in our jar and maybe buy something from the business we are visiting as a Pop Up. In doing so you are simply supporting two local family businesses at one family fun event!

Q: Is your retail open for feeders and supplies?
A: Yes. Our retail space is in the former Dirigo Food Equipment (on the left side of the building). Current hours are temporary and it is curb side due to construction and Town/State regulations. 1(207)-713-0165.
Hours are:
Monday through Friday - 10am to 3pm.
Saturday - 10am to 2pm.
Sunday - Closed.

Q: Are you hiring and how old do you have to be?
A: We are not hiring at this time but we are accepting volunteers. We need volunteers to help unpacking and set up, organizing skills a must , cleaning and some animal work.
We are sorry but we can not have young children volunteer due to liability, they must be 16 years old or older.
Good work ethics and reliability can eventually lead to a paying job.
We are ideally looking for retired teachers who would eventually be interested in setting up natural science activities and crafts that can be done seven days a week when we fully open or as special events.

Q: Are you still taking in animals even though you are not open to the public?
A: Yes. If you have an animal that needs to be surrendered for whatever reason, you can simply email Mr. Drew at:
mr.drewsanimals2@yahoo.com or call 1(207)713-0165 to schedule a drop off date and time.
Q: Are you taking in donations of used equipment and supplies, like enclosures?
A: Yes but if you can wait until we are fully open to the public, it would be greatly appreciated. We have had large items already dropped off and it is now taking up space and having to be constantly moved because they are in the way while we set up. TIA.
Q: Will you be hosting birthday parties at your new center?
A: Yes! We are not scheduling yet until we have a confirmed opening date but we will have TWO party rooms! One will be private and the other be semiprivate and each space will be 12’x24”. Pricing has not been determined yet.
Q: Is Mr. Drew still traveling to do presentations?
A: Yes. Please be aware that he tends to book 3-6 months in advance and his Summer weekends can be 1-2 years out.

Update 6/30/2025
The Center is now Closed for Tours
As of July 1st 2025. Our center will be closed to visitors.
Our Retail will remain open in Lewiston until further notice
Retail Hours are:
Monday-Friday 10am to 5pm
No weekends
We plan on moving retail to Poland around Mid-July, and hopefully fully open Mid-August.

Update 5/3/2025
We found a new home!
We are very happy to announce that Mr. Drew and His Animals Too’s potential new, long term home will Route 26 in Beautiful Poland Maine! We are awaiting to sign the lease and get the keys and as soon as that happens we will update on all our details regarding our labor intensive move.
We found a free standing 10K sq.ft. space that will be perfect for our needs with some potential, limited outside use.
We will be in the Poland Crossing Plaza at 1385 Maine St. Poland, Maine 04274 in the former Family Dollar location.
The Town of Poland has been very gracious with ideas, supportive, helpful and the excitement has been infectious, in this mutual adventure to work as a team to benefit us, the community of Poland and the surrounding areas.
We will now have a separate space for retail with its own separate entrance, there will now be two party spaces available (one private and one semi private), we will be able to set up our kiln and lapidary machine (in the back room) for use on special events, the new marine touch tank will be up and running when we open, a planting/growing area, we will be able to to host outside movie nights, night time astronomy observation and so much more! We are excited to collaborate with the area businesses.
