Mr. Drew is the man responsible for all the wows, wonder and wisdom. He has a whole page already dedicated to him and his story. He would not want any more time spent talking about himself.  One thing however, To anyone who says they want to be like him when they grow up, he would say "Do it Better than Me."

The woman behind the curtain making everything work and function smoothly. Mrs. Drew has been behind the curtain since 2006 for their first "Show" and it has been an explosive exponential ride all these years since. Susan spends most of her time running the center and all its moving parts. Her absolute favorite sound in the world is hearing the laughter and chaos of her center full of exploring children

Vernon became a volunteer in the Natural Science Center in October 2023. 

Prior to giving PrisSony mine tours he was a Master Electrician, Mental health worker, Medic (USAF & MENG) and a dishwasher.

Vernon is a lifetime member of GSUSA (Girl Scouts).  He is a storyteller, parent and grandparent. 

All of these life experiences have prepared him to be kind, patient, entertaining, educational, and very, very, humble.

Tori's reptile passion began when she worked for PetLife in Portland, where she was the Animal Manager there briefly before becoming the Store Manager of the South Portland location. Before that she was an Event Coordinator for University of Maine Orono for 5 years where she matched over 100 children with collage mentors from Maine schools. 

Chis has worked in Pet Retail since 2008 with various positions and companies over the years. His dream job was a Zoologist, working on a stage introducing animal ambassadors to everyone. In 2023 he got his opportunity to work with Mr. Drew and feels his dream is finally fulfilled! Although most of his time is spent doing paperwork (yuck), the time he gets to spend talking to and educating people are always cherished memories.

As an animal wrangler, Ari spends most of her time making sure all our animals are fed and taken care of properly. Never afraid to get her hands dirty to help any animal in need, Ari is one of the main reasons we are able to nurse many of our rescues back to health. When she is not tending to the animals Ari can be found entertaining guests throughout the center and sharing her knowledge and passion

Jim has been friends with Mr. Drew for many years and is a fantastic addition to the team. He is one of the few people who is able to make our geology section stand out as predominantly as it does next to the hundreds of exotic animals found on the other side of the building. Jim can pretty much always identify a mineral or rock just from looking at it (Sometimes with his UV light) and will jump at the chance to tell you where its from and how its formed!

Anyone who has bought bugs or bulbs from us knows Marcia, She is always here counting out bugs, putting away bugs, cleaning bugs, feeding bugs... You name it she has done it. Marcia is always ready to help you get the right products and makes sure that our retail space keeps running smoothly and stays organized!
